Sacabon Photography

This is my conceptual project about Filipinos. I want to capture their various individualities through their faces. This appears to be challenging as I approach the subjects for the uncertainty if they will respond willingly or hesitantly. These are

the people that I met during events, gatherings and random acquaintances. Young and old. Their faces reveal natural cheerfulness embedded in them.

This project is purposely done to portray that Filipinos can endure life's challenging struggles but can still share a candid smile to everyone. This makes me feel that they are naturally hospitable and very welcoming. We may not know each other for a time but I felt an instant sense of connection with them.

As I continue with this project, you can come back every now and then to see more of what I will be capturing. The number of the people placed in this album establish the sense of fulfillment that I gain.
